leujin: (New York explodes)
I'm sleepy and I've been waking up with a headache. At first I thought it might have been the new glasses and the fact that we don't have any more soda, but Liz is having the same problems I am, so it's decidedly because of the annoying dog in the yard behind us.

See, I like dogs. I have a dog. I don't mind dogs barking during the day, because, let's face it: dogs are prone to bark.

But when there's a dog that barks NON FREAKING STOP all night long? I draw the line. I'm baffled that the owners of the dog aren't bothered by this, because Liz and I are getting woken up by this dog, and it keeps us up for sometimes hours at a time. The only way I'm able to fall back asleep is because I'm so dead tired, and this has been going on since we moved in!

I'm confounded as to why this dog hasn't been reported by any of the neighbors. I think Angel is getting tired of it, too, because she started barking back last night, and she NEVER barks unless there's a person she doesn't recognize.

It's a good thing I don't have to get up in the morning, or I'd be REALLY peeved.

Sometimes it's just too stressful having pets ~.~

Angel started vomiting and having diarrhea a couple days ago, and we were really quite concerned. See, it started like... a couple days after we switched her to a new food, in the hopes of avoiding yet another catastrophe with all the recalled food nonsense, so we switched her to a brand that is safe, as far as we know. We had been having her on Nutro, which is one of the brands recalled (and the same stuff we were feeding Odin), so we figured better safe than sorry.

Normally this kind of thing isn't a big concern, because dogs are just animated garbage disposals, and sometimes they have yucky body reactions to something stupid that they ate, but with all the recalled food and losing Odin, it's hard not to worry.

At any rate, she's looking better today, which is good. Everything seemed normal, and she was behaving normally. We're keeping an eye on her, though, just in case. I think it may just be that we couldn't gradually switch her to the new food, and dogs have sensitive tummies and can have a bad reaction to suddenly switching food like that.

The biggest problem seems to be that we can't afford another vet visit, especially because we still owe them for Odin. ~.~

I'm not sure which I hate more: the dog, dogging my heels (wakka wakka), or the cat, constantly under foot and stopping randomly to clean herself.
